Nature is a living example of how communities live in harmony.
Nature is a living example of how communities live in harmony. If you go into the forest or mountain and sit still and watch, ask yourself, what lessons are being taught? Then watch how the animals conduct themselves. The trees could represent diversity. The flowers could represent people. Notice how everything in nature assists one another. See how balance works. See how conflict is handled. Can you see acts of forgiveness? Can you spot respect? Nature is full of wisdom if we will only consider her to be our teacher.

I liked reading this Dave, She is my best Teacher! I am working on propagating wind break and food trees this fall, I am enjoying the lesson of expansion, duplication and creation, along with just being and listening to the trees. I always let them know what I’m doing and ask to cut out of respect, My kids call me a hippie. this Fall is extra special to me as I started my tree farm.. with all kinds of windbreak and food trees… Its a long term goal, but a lifelong dream..to be surrounded by trees! one of the many things trees have taught me is things may take time…Happy Fall
Hi Janet wow what a wonderful project and yes its true nature is our best teachers, trees have also taught me so many things and are one of natures true elders blessings to you and yours happy fall Dave
Just to be clear on this
When a hurricane, tsunami, forest fire or possibly an earthquake wipes out whole micro ecosystem or when a pack of wolves hamstrings and rips an elk to pieces your saying this is cooperation? I can see calling it harmony as a function of dharma as it is the law of the universe that each thing will act as it’s nature dictates but I can’t see that the elk was a willing participant when it was fleeing the wolf pack or that the inhabitants of those micro systems chose to be wiped out by the Natural disaster. Nature can be awesomely beautiful but it can also be incredibly fickle and terrible. Just ask the parent of a child whose DNA dictates that they have an incurable disease or even one of the precious flowers which withers and dies because the roots of all the other flowers are in competition for the same resources in the soil.
thank you Warren for your comment and I do understand you point of view and the direction you are coming from. But the truth is there is lessons in all things you just have to veiw it with differant eyes. A friend of mine was describing her reaction to an area she had visited, a place poisoned by toxic chemicals, a piece of earth maimed and harmed by humankind. “It’s not that I didn’t feel connected there,” she said thoughtfully. “I felt connected, but feeling connected meant feeling connected to pain.”
My friend was describing more than a piece of land. She was describing a place many of us visit at times on our journey. We feel connected, but we’re connected to pain and sadness. We may be reacting to an incident from our past or to something taking place right now.
We don’t have to run anymore. We don’t have to hide. We don’t have to leave our bodies, or wonder what’s wrong. We simply need to feel what’s there, even if it hurts for a bit. Sometimes we’re healing from our toxic beliefs, feelings, and attitudes we’ve accumulated. Sometimes there’s a message, a lesson to learn, an action to take. That will follow naturally if we’re connected. blessings to you my friend
It’s clear from your comments you don’t understand my point of view at all. To say everything in Nature assists one another seems to be out of harmony with reality. Holding on to beliefs like that seem to me to be just the kind of toxic human created poison which are evidence of the pain an individual might feel so deeply they would stick there head in the sand and try to ignore the truth oi the world around them. In fact without the situations which display a lack of harmony there would be no contrast to recognize when harmony even exists.
well Warren one things for sure youve got a lot of anger on this subject which leaves me feeling there is something in the back ground going on for you to have the need to attack in such a way.Toxic human created poison ? I do hear and understand what you are saying but I dont understand why in this age of growing consiousnes. No one should stand still and all things I share should be brought into reality things that resonate with you you keep things you don’t, let go.Your right things are out of balance but it is us and our reality with nature and the universe thats out of balance not the other way round its us that need to do the changing. Negitivity and fear is destroying this world so lets just agree to disagee I hope you find what you are looking for and it gives you peace blessings
It was obvious from your previous post that even though you wouldn’t then directly say I was “whatever” (here “angry”. I am glad you came out here and decided to call me names. I’m not looking for anything but I like to turn over rocks sometimes just to see what’ there. As I am not looking for anything, I have already found every thing I want. The rest is as they say “icing on the cake”. I do like to challenge statements that are made as fact that are so completely not based in reality just so that some subsequent reader might have the opportunity to see an alternate view. I don’t have to agree to disagree. I just disagree.
Not all information is fact.
While all facts are knowledge
not all facts and knowledge are truth.
You can make up facts and knowledge and call them truth and allow lead your life accordingly but
A personal truth based on inaccurate facts and knowledge may in the short run lead an individual to happiness, yet will in the long run lead to unhealthy, unbalanced choices which will in turn invite disease into the individual’s life.
Today is a good day to die,
But a better day to feel alive.
Nature does speak to us and often it speaks of chaos and destruction, things that can be hard to handle mentally, emotionally and physically. It hurts to see the elk killed by the wolf, or to see my beautiful flowers choked out by weeds and the people of the Earth suffer because of natural occurrences. I guess because the Divine within me knows other realities exist beyond this one it is easy for me to believe that nothing is in vein, all who die, the Elk, the tree, the flower, my good friend, they have not died in vein, although it is painful, there is a purpose in it. Perhaps it is to stir within us our power to make things more harmonious with our words, thoughts and deeds while we are here. Whatever makes us angry is a clue to something we’ve come to transmute.
It made me angry when my cat would leave its kill on my front porch, stepping barefoot in entrails is not very pleasing. So I had a talk with my cat, laid my hands on her ad intended to adjust her DNA so she would be content with her Cat Chow. Did it work? Yes. Why? because I believed it would. As far as the Earth groaning with her earthquakes, volcanoes, fires and floods, can I change that? Well I can intend to sooth her as best I can through intended prayer, visualization, affirmations and energy work. The way I see it is she’s been here a lot longer than I have and I just need to respect and love her the best I can. I have had occasion where tornadoes were forming and I spoke to them to be calm and I have been part of groups that do this as well, at least we can say we made an effort.
I can get rid of weeds in my garden easy enough. The irony is that many “weeds” are medicinal and more benefiting than the pretty flowers I want to grow. I think of the dandelion, and having an abundance of dandelion which is an excellent cleansing plant, is more important to me than having a perfect lawn, so perspective is important, and we each have our own. In the very big picture I seek to remember that as we evolve we can transmute chaos into what benefits the whole, This is however a huge undertaking and it may take more lifetimes than this one. I think we have made progress in bringing order to the chaos and the questions remain; will we ever rid the planet of chaos completely? Are we meant to? Or are we simply to observe and intend to lessen the chaos within our own individual lives with the hope it is contagious and triggers a change by which the lion and lamb can truly lay together? Perhaps all the chaos, fear, corruption, war, control and lies amidst the people in the world have made enough people angry enough to seek harmony. Guess we will see. Peace (despite the chaos) to you both.
Thank you Janet for your wise words peace be to you and to you to warren blessings and unconditional love to you both
