About my Monarch Butterfly “Spirit”
This is my Monarch butterfly, I named Spirit. I met him as a caterpillar and felt he was there to teach me about my own transformation. This picture was taken on his rebirthday, and still a few hours before his first flight. I am looking forward to the Shift, and the day I am transformed and get to spread my wings. My goal is to help as many people and animals as possible to raise their consciousnesses to be ready for the Golden Age in front of us.

Thank you. We are in amazing times. And it will only get better.
Yes, I do Believe So,,,With every part of my Being;}
Just a quick share about monarchs who are also strong, determined as well as amazing( my web time is usually spiritual activism on facebook and paying bills – the yin and yang of life) ) Sept last year I got lost trying to find the Audubon Bird observatory platform in Cape May Point State Park, Nj to take a workshop in photographing hawks. However, I did take a walk in South Cape May Meadows( part of the Nature Conservancy) On the way back to my car, a monarch with 1 1/2 wings landed in front of my right shoe and waited patiently as I took photos of it. The following day, my husband decided not to ride his bike back to cherry Hill as part of MS Bikeathon weekend. Instead, together we found Audubon Bird observatory platform in Cape May Point State Park. While we were taking pics , it was announced that there would be monarch tagging demo in 20 min. at the picnic area.( The monarchs summer in Cape May and migrate to a mexican rain forest for a winter hibernation- a very hardy insect in spite of its “fragile appearance”)- Locals are paid to find tagged butterflies in the trees) We were divided into 3 groups, and each biologist and /or trained intern had 2 butterflies. In my crowd, the first one tagged was my friend from yesterday with one good wing to begin its 2500 mile journey. Adios mi amigo/a
Wow, very interesting. I had no idea that they could fly that far. Was there any way for you to follow up to see if it was ever located at the other end by that tag?
I love Cherry Hill area. My parents lived in the Cinnamonson area for a couple years.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful story.
They can’t actually fly that far– the round trip migration actually takes several generations, it’s so amazing. I too have felt guided by butterflies– for a while I had the strong feeling of being in a chrysalis, straining to burst out. We are all being birthed into something new for sure. It’s so wonderful to meet you.
you are actually mistaken about the migration. from the nj audubon website
Millions of Monarch butterflies pass through Cape May each autumn on a migratory journey. Weighing just ½ gram, they must successfully navigate a journey of over 2,000 miles to the forested mountains of central Mexico. Many perish along the way. Once in Mexico, these seemingly fragile butterflies while away the winter, waiting for spring to return to the U.S. and Canada. On some unknown cue in March, they break dormancy and head north, mating along the way. Females lay their eggs on milkweed plants growing in northern Mexico or the extreme southern U.S. Their offspring repopulate much of temperate North America where two or three non-migrating generation occur during the warmer months. Then in autumn, the migration begins again, with Monarchs heading to the same areas where their great-great grandparents spent the previous winter.
huh, so most of the generations are NONmigrating? Thats news to me I was taught that they kind of leapfrogged all the way, but this was a while back. Thanks for the info.

You’re very welcome! Here’s 2 websites with info about the jersey monarchs, the tagging project, etc
I really didn’t think about finding out if my tagged friend was found in Mexico. I was more interested in the significance of our meeting (nature speaks us if we listen) -It was reminder that appearances are deceiving, that the small, the handicapped, have their own inner strength, etc
And then a little over year later, ” we are all connected serendipity” reinforcement ( monarchs, cherry hill, )
meant that they are not familiar. apparently can’t post websites even they are innocuous
Hi Joan,
Thanks for trying to post the two sites. I would have loved to see them. I think if you post it as a word spelled out with “dotcom” it might make it through.
Unfortunately I think they are not allowing anything on my blog that has an email or web link because of one guy who I had sent a friend request to. Instead of just exercising his ability to say “no” or ignore people who try to befriend him, he instead tried to claim I sent spam. I had noting to sell, nor had I asked him to visit any websites, so not sure how that could be spam. How silly is that? He was upset because I had not posted my profile yet. He did take the time thoe on two or three occasions to write me some not so nice things, and wants to prevent others from being my friend.
And the funny thing was his profile was all about selling his services posting his links, not really giving us an honest personal profile. I suppose I could just appease those who insist I post a profile, but I think being a free spirit as I am, I just don’t feel the need at this point.
Anyway, I love the butterfly info, so do hope to see the sites you found. Thanks for posting.
Brave little butterfly. Hope he/she made it to Mexico
I also have a personal relationship to the Monarchs. In recent years I discovered that the place of my birth, Pacific Grove on the Monterey peninsula in California, is a Monarch sanctuary. I had felt close to monarchs and never knew why.
This path month I had a lucid dream during the night, I experienced the outer layers of my body like a hard chrysalis, protecting the more vulnerable parts of me, lying at my inner core. It felt as if I was being called forth into some new kind of flight to try my wings again, after a premature flight 15 years ago, that resulted in a total health collapse. As an empath and sensitive person this dream carried a huge significance. The dream was showing me how, in my earlier years this shell was actually nurturing and protecting me until I was strong enough to emerge, though it made me feel isolated and alone. My vulnerability made an introverted life style most suitable. I was judged by others as being “shy”, yet loved my “quiet state” for the witnessing capacities and skillful observational skills it brought to nurture my intimate relationship to all parts of nature. It took me years to get over the label of being “shy” and appreciate these sensitive gifts that had graced my life. I have much more capacity to be “extroverted” now, and still love interacting with “quiet” people to discover appreciate and applaud their gifts, which so often go unacknowledged for what they are.
What a beautiful metaphor the flight of the monarch is for how fragile life is, and yet how long and unimaginable journeys are possible when our Souls are in the navigation seat.
)
Thank you Nancy for sharing your story. I am also happy you recognized the gift you had. Those that tend to be very talkative, many times have a hard time listening. I have found that quiet people have excellent listening skills, and tend to give a lot of thought to what they speak, rather than just blurting something out to be heard.
Thanks for sharing!
Namaste

Thank you for sharing in your blog and thank you for your friendship request. with love and light Helen
Thank you Helen for taking the time to read my butterfly story, and for your friendship. Have a wonderful weekend.
It makes me angry that a such person created such havoc over a trivia point, esp when their sole ( soul
) purpose is business networking.
AND I knew more about you thru your blog than some member’s profiles
here are the “barred places”

I know, I admit he irritated me also, but then I realized he was a closed off being who was brought to this Shift Movement for a reason even beyond his awareness. While he faced his own struggles of self to discredit me for my lack of profile, he actually opened a crack for the light to get in. And since Divine works in wondrous ways, I have to believe that was what was needed for his own soul to poke him, to attempt to get him back on path. While the light can be shown to him, due to free will, he has the right to accept or reject what he is being shown. You can lead the way, but you can’t make them follow.
Thanks for sharing this web address, but when I go to their site, and try to open the Monarch Monitoring Project, it opens the page, but there is nothing there. Perhaps they removed the info you had found there earlier, and are in the process of updating it. Now that I have the site, I will check back every so often to see if they have uppoaded it. I do appreciate your sharing.
sent you a message with the link for( i checked and it works) the new jersey Audubon monarchs and the page has a link on left side for the . i will send that page anyway to by message
yes, I agree with your analysis of him, but the shift org has wait up too. Are they aware what he did to you? I think “they got too big”
I have more freedom on facebook doing my spiritual activism and will be prob leaving shift next month
