Nicole Lee
Nicole Lee is the founding Executive Director of Urban Peace Movement, an emerging Oakland-based organization that works to transform the mindset and culture of urban violence. Urban Peace Movement has it’s roots in the Silence The Violence Campaign that Lee founded in 2006 originally as a project of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. She is a fourth-generation Oaklander and has spent the past 12 years in labor, community, and youth organizing and policy advocacy work on economic justice and juvenile justice issues.
